Computer Literacy Reflection This Spring Semester at Salt Lake Community College was by one of my favorites. My school scheduled worked great, my work schedule followed, I learned a lot from student life and leadership, and my I have the greatest support system at home to help me while I try to chase my educational goals. As we all know school is in between that amazing dream job that you look forward to at the end of your education. And between all of that is the “learning journey” you have as you pick up tips, advice, knowledge and experience all along the way. My Computer Literacy class helped me become so much more efficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint! It was amazing! As a student rep at Salt Lake Community College I get to be an advocate for all students, and that comes with a lot of responsibilities. At times I’m required to present trainings, manage budgets, and write proposals all in one day. It was great to learn how I can make my job a lot easier by using the information I retained in my CSIS class. I remember specifically during elections week that SLCC-SA (Student Association) holds I was required to present a power point in from of thirty student clubs. I remember John (my professor) that week shared with us some points and advice on how we can really make our presentation stand out and look professional. I used the advice and I felt so great about my work! As I reflect on this past semester, I’m so grateful I took this class! I know that as I move on to CSIS 2010 I will use the information I learned here as a starting point. And as I look towards my future endeavors I know I will remember this class and the excitement I had each day as I learned how to be an effective student striving to be the best that I can be.
